Frank recently had the pleasure of touring with Grammy Award-winning songwriter, singer, musician, producer PJ Morton, who continues to make huge waves in the music industry. Aside from being the keyboardist for rock sensation Maroon 5, the Young Money Records artist just released his first major-label debut album, “New Orleans.” The album, released on May 14, 2013, features guest appearances by Stevie Wonder, Lil Wayne, Adam Levine, Busta Rhymes and Tweet. Following the album’s release was the “Back to New Orleans” summer tour of over twenty U.S. cities. In theaters on April 12, 2013, Dimension Films will release Scary Movie 5, the fifth installment in this horror/comedy/parody franchise. Shot in Atlanta, Georgia, this latest film will be the first in the series not featuring main characters Cindy Campbell (Anna Faris) or Brenda Meeks (Regina Hall). Instead, Ashley Tisdale (Jody), Simon Rex (Dan) and Erica Ash (Kendra) will star along with some appearances by Lindsay Lohan, Mike Tyson, Jasmine Guy, and Usher to name a few. Frank was an extra for the film in a scene at Atlanta’s Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre (depicted as the Lincoln Center in NYC). He is part of a live orchestra performing with a ballet. This movie is rated PG-13.

Former Miss USA, Kenya Moore, hosted a charity costume gala at Atlanta’s Historic Callanwolde Estate. Her vision behind the evening entitled “Forever Relevant” was to pay homage to iconic black women in film. It was a well-attended event with a wide-range of costumes and celebrity look-alikes. Entertainment included monologues, dance, and a live band. Frank played with the five-piece band as they performed a short set. All of the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” stars were in attendance for the evening. This televised event aired on Sunday, March 31st (Season Finale) on Bravo TV at 8pm EST.

On the evening of February 8, 2013, the Frank Houston Quartet was featured in the Atlanta Airport's "Atrium Music Series." In celebration of Black History Month, every Friday in February from 5pm-7pm a different artist was featured. The group performed a wide range of selections from hits by icons Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder, to jazz standards, to some of Frank's original compositions.


Obama-Musiq

On January 31, 2013, Musiq Soulchild was surprised by a very special guest at the second show on a four-city east coast tour. First Lady Michelle Obama was in the audience for the R&B singer’s show at the Howard Theatre in Washington D.C. According to reports, Mrs. Obama came out to watch Musiq’s performance in celebration of her friend’s birthday. The singer was elated to know one of his long-time fans was the first lady herself. After the show, they talked briefly backstage before taking a couple of pictures together that quickly went viral on social network sites.
